Job description

Trainee Recruitment Consultant, Cardiff. £20,750-£23,500 basic uncapped commission (OTE year 1 £25-30k).

You're joining a UK wide network of Building Maintenance colleagues - who recruit across the Social Housing and Public Estate sectors. Our motto is "What We Do Matters" and you'll be using your skills as a recruiter in a truly purposeful way - as the people you will be working with serve the communities they work in. They are tradespeople who are entering people's homes and occupied public buildings to repair and improve them. Within the Property Services sector there is increasing demand for Decarbonisation and carbon reduction, so you'll be supporting the drive towards carbon net zero as part of your role. This opportunity sits within our fantastic Cardiff Construction & Property team.


What can I expect day to day?

As a Recruitment Consultant, you'll have the freedom to do things differently, supported by your teammates who will empower you to learn and grow. No day is the same here at Hays, and you will gain experience across a varied range of skills to include:

  1. Building relationships with clients
  2. Building a network of qualified Maintenance tradespeople
  3. Winning new business
  4. Managing vacancies from start to finish
  5. Screening, interviewing and shortlisting candidates
  6. Matching the best candidates to the best jobs
